Barcelona to generate additional funds for Cancelo operation and other objectives – report

The operation concerning the right-back position for FC Barcelona seems to have the utmost attention of the club as they look to close down the operation that the Catalan giants have managed to advance after several weeks.

Joao Cancelo of Manchester City remains the priority arrival in this particular position and FC Barcelona have already agreed personal terms with the player as was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano not too long ago.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona still continue to look for the best possible agreement that can be reached with the player’s club, Manchester City, and what exact formula would be beneficial to all parties concerned.

Hoping to see the player on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, Barcelona are optimistic regarding the possibility of achieving this courtesy of the aid provided by the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes.

However, it appears that with Barcelona needing the player to either lower his salary demands or for Manchester City to pay part of it for the season, the Catalan giants will have to generate more funds in order to accommodate such a procedure as they simultaneously have to register certain players that have been left unregistered as well.

The Catalans are confident that this will not be a major hurdle however, as a €20 million injection is expected soon from the sale of Barca Vision as well as further funds to be generated from the sales of players such as Sergino Dest and Clement Lenglet’s, with Barcelona hopeful in particular about the latter’s imminent departure.
