Match Details:

Date: Sunday, 28th May 2023

Time: 07:00 pm CET

Venue: Spotify Camp Nou

Competition: La Liga Santander

Matchday: 37

Things to watch out for:

Goodbye to the Camp Nou:

In what has been the historic home of FC Barcelona for decades on end, it has come time to temporarily part ways with the fabled Colosseum of the Garnet and Blue. Until November of 2024, this will be the final game FC Barcelona play in the ground, as they move to another home for next season.

Farewell to Spanish veterans:

From Champions Leagues to La Liga titles, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have been present for the club through thick and thin, and from domination to forgettable humiliations. The pair is set to bid farewell to the Blaugrana faithful in what will be the final time that both step onto the field of Camp Nou as FC Barcelona players.

Final game for the out-of-favor trio?:

Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, and Franck Kessie are a triumvirate of players that are currently on the cusp of finding their way outside the club. With reports coming in left, right, and center regarding their respective departures, this game could very well be the last time all 3 represent FC Barcelona on Camp Nou soil.

Important personnel:

Keeping an eye to the stands, it’s quite likely that due to the momentous occasion of such high-profile departures, there will consequently be high-profile names in the stands overlooking the farewell procedures. Veteran Barcelona players and members of the board may well be seen should the cameras pan to their sides.
