The planning stage for the summer transfer window at FC Barcelona is almost concluded, and now the difficult task of executing these plans is approaching for the club. One of the main objectives of the club for this transfer window is to sell some of its players to generate much-needed funds.
One player identified for the purposes of a sale is Raphinha. The Brazilian joined FC Barcelona last summer window and got a number of opportunities in the starting eleven this season. However, most of these chances came as Ousmane Dembele was injured, and the Brazilian is not an automatic starter for Xavi.
As the player still has a meaningful demand in the Premier League, FC Barcelona have been considering selling him in order to fetch some money. Teams like Chelsea and Newcastle have been interested in the player.
However, SPORT reports that the player is not considering a move away from FC Barcelona this window. The report mentions that the player believes he can grow and adapt to the team even further in the coming season and can build on the momentum he has gained in his first season at the club.
He has insisted on remaining with the club even though his agent, Deco, has tried to convince him to move away from Camp Nou. However, the player has been unwilling to move and has told his close circles that he intends to remain with the Catalan club for the upcoming season.
While the departures of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have somewhat improved the situation, the club still plans to offload more players to become more competitive, both financially and sportingly, in the upcoming seasons. However, as things stand, the club will have to make Raphinha a part of their plans for the next season, as he is not willing to move away from Camp Nou.
