FC Barcelona have got a real gem on their hands in the form of Lamine Yamal. The Spanish youngster has seen his star rise for the last few months, as he has broken numerous records.
For instance, he became the youngest player to debut for Barcelona last season. Furthermore, after deciding to represent Spain on the international level, he also became the youngest player to debut and score for the Spanish senior side.
Yamal makes another record
Still, the youngster is not done with breaking records and has etched his name in another highly illustrious list. As SPORT reports, Yamal has gotten in the top ten most highly valued players produced by La Masia currently playing throughout the world, as compiled by Transfermarkt.
This list not only contains the players who are currently at Barcelona, but all the players trained at La Masia who are playing in different parts of the world.
With a valuation of €25 million, Yamal currently occupies the tenth position in this list but is expected to go even higher in the coming months and years. Gavi currently leads this list and is valued at €90 million.
Other players on the list
Yamal shares this valuation with the winger Takefusa Kubo, who currently plays for Real Sociedad, and the full-back recently signed by Bayer Leverkusen, Alejandro Grimaldo.
Several other La Masia-trained players are quite close to Yamal in their valuation by Transfermarkt. Marc Cucurella, Ansu Fati, Lionel Messi, and Andre Onana, all of whom were raised at La Masia, are currently valued at €35 million, i.e., only €10 million more than Yamal.
A few weeks ago, Yamal emerged as the footballer with the highest first valuation at Transfermarkt, equalling the €25 first valuation of Ansu Fati, Gavi, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Now, the youngster has made another record, and hopefully, this is still the beginning for a youngster who has exploded onto the scene in the last few months.
