The FC Barcelona forward line is performing at a very high level this season. This is clear from the fact that the team has already scored 50 goals this season, scoring goals at a rate even better than the legendary team of Messi, Neymar, and Suarez.

Robert Lewandowski is clearly the main goalscorer of the team, as he has already scored 17 goals in 15 matches in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. Similarly, Raphinha has also taken another step up in his game, as he has also scored 11 goals and provided 7 assists.

Lamine Yamal has also significantly improved his end product, as he has scored 6 goals and provided 8 assists across the league and UCL. In fact, as Mundo Deportivo has noted, the Spaniard is now the top assist provider in the league, following the match against Espanyol last night.

In the Barcelona derby, the youngster provided the assist for Dani Olmo’s opening goal of the game, only 12 minutes into the match. With this assist, he has now overtaken his own teammate Raphinha, with whom he was previously tied at 6 assists.

With his 6 goals and 8 assists, Lamine Yamal has been directly involved in 14 of the 50 goals scored by Barcelona up to this point of the season, thus contributing to around 28% of the team’s goals.

His seven league assists have come in five different matches. The first one came in the opening La Liga match against Valencia, and he then provided another assist against Rayo Vallecano in the third game.

He then created another two goals in the following game against Real Valladolid and then provided a single assist in the games against Villarreal, Sevilla, and Espanyol.

Of these seven assists, two were provided to Lewandowski, two to Raphinha, and another two to Pedri. Last night’s assist that ended with Dani Olmo’s goal was Yamal’s first to the new Barcelona arrival.
