Barcelona is a club where adaptation has to take place at an early stage for a player to succeed. Oftentimes, talented gems and players are left without the ability to showcase their best qualities. As a result, the demands at a club like Barcelona are constantly seen as daunting and quite burdening in nature.

In particular, adapting to Barcelona is most difficult for foreign players. While those who come from the academy have sporting expectations to adjust to, foreigners have to deal with much more. From cultural changes to language barriers, it is an entirely new world of challenges that they are presented with upon arrival.

German arrival

Such was the case for German midfield talent Noah Darvich. The talented 17-year-old was an exciting arrival this summer for Barcelona.

Having transferred over from German side Freiburg, his arrival was expected to mark the entry of a game-changer for Barcelona Atletic and the young divisions of the club. However, despite the initially tough adapting period, the player finally seems to be coming into his own.

First Barcelona goal

In his latest game for Barcelona Juvenil A, as highlighted by SPORT, the player shined brightly. Playing for the Under-19 side in the UEFA Youth League, he started against Shakhtar Donetsk’s U-19 side in the third game of their group.

In the 14th minute, the German talent scored his first-ever goal in Barcelona colors. Initially making a great pass to Dani Rodriguez, the forward was unable to go past the goalkeeper.

However, the rebound found itself perfectly placed for young Darvich, who released a vicious volley well beyond the reach of any of the defending Shakhtar players.

Great things to come

Donning the number 10 for the Juvenil side, Noah Darvich then proceeded to celebrate with great joy. Almost with a feeling of liberation, he celebrated with great enthusiasm alongside his teammates. For the young pearl, this game will surely be a quick taste of what’s to come.

From an overview, Barcelona’s Under-19 side has been an absolutely dominant force in the UEFA Youth League thus far. From their first three games in Group H, they have managed to win all three.

With nine points to their name already, they have also scored six goals and conceded only one, they are running rampant in the junior European competition thus far this season.
