Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, commonly known as Abde, has been one of the positive sensations among returning Barcelona loanees. The Moroccan has enjoyed a successful spell at Osasuna, and is eager to prove himself and convince Xavi after returning to the Catalan club.
At Osasuna, the 21-year-old winger emerged as one of the best dribblers in the world as per a report from Mundo Deportivo. His dribbling prowess was already visible at Barcelona, but last season Abde has taken his game to the next level, having the third most dribbles per 90 minutes among the under-25 players.
Precisely, the young winger completed 6.4 dribbles per game, and was only topped by La Liga rivals Real Madrid’s Brazilian star, Vinícius Júnior with 6.7 dribbles made, and Stade Rennais’s Belgian winger, Jérémy Doku with a whopping 9.3 successful dribbles per 90 minutes.
Abde, who recently won the U-23 African Cup of Nations with Morocco, has finished the tournament as the top scorer and the top assister of the competition.
The winger is expected to return to the Blaugrana camp next Monday, cutting short his holidays to return to training early. While his future is not yet decided as he could be sold given his increased market value, the youngster still has a chance to impress in the pre-season and earn his place in the Catalan squad for next season.
