FC Barcelona have ended their 2022-23 season in style, as they came up as the La Liga champions after several years. Now, as the club season has ended, some of the club’s players are already enjoying their vacations, while others are engaged with their national teams.
One Cule that falls in the latter group of players and is with his national team right now is the youngster Gavi. La Furia Roja are currently contending for the Nations League glory and have advanced to the finals, where they will face Croatia. This final will take place on 18th June.
While Spain came out as the victors in the semi-final tie against Italy, there have been doubts about harmony in the team. These doubts had been fuelled by the altercation between the Spaniards Gavi and Dani Ceballos in the last El Classico.
However, in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Gavi claimed that the feud between him and Ceballos had been solved by the Spanish head coach, Luis de la Fuente. He explained how the coach had approached the two players and told them that matters taking on the pitch should be resolved on the pitch and that everyone in the national team should operate as a single unit.
Thus, Gavi expressed that he works as a component of the Spanish national team and has no problems with any of his teammates. He termed the national team camp a family and claimed that he goes well with all the players in the dressing room.
This show of maturity is important for Gavi, as while he has convinced everyone with his talent, he still is a bit of a hothead and can lose his calm in tense match.
He described his aggressiveness as a part of the game, but in his last two seasons with Barcelona, the player has accumulated 20 yellow cards and one red card in La Liga. However, as he matures further, this recklessness will subside, and he will become an even better player with a calmer head.
