As per the ever-reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 15-year-old Spaniard is expected to sign a deal with the Catalans that sees him extend his stay with the Blaugranes until 2026 and thus become a crucial part of their dynasty moving forward. The news comes as no shock given the player’s affiliation and allegiance to the club, but it does indeed come as positive news nonetheless.
A star in the realms of La Masia, the 15-year-old consistently plays amongst players well beyond his age as his footballing ability allows him to do so and compete at an equal level with them within the Barcelona subsidiary. The player has garnered praise from the likes of Xavi Hernandez and other higher-ups within the Barcelona hierarchy. Recently, even first-team player Raphinha showered the youngster with praise.
Following his first team debut against Real Betis on Saturday, the player has now also been included in the squad list for the upcoming La Liga clash against CA Osasuna. Scheduled for Tuesday, the 2nd of May, the game will be contested at the Spotify Camp Nou and there exist strong possibilities of the young star in the making to get a second shot at entering the floodlights of the European elites.
