FC Barcelona are expected to take part in a pre-season tour of the United States of America that is set to start from the 22nd of July and will conclude on the 2nd of August this year before the Catalans return to Barcelona to resume preparations for the official season.
The pre-season will be important for the Catalan club as it will allow them the luxury to try out their latest signings and give Xavi Hernandez the opportunity to fiddle around and experiment with his tactics so that he can better understand the best possible system for his new recruits and where they stand within the current dynamics of Barcelona.
However, for weeks now, there has been skepticism over the return of the Barcelona prodigy, Pedri, following the injury he sustained in May of this year which has since kept him sidelined from any sort of physical involvement with the club neither in training nor match days consequently.
Now, it seems the player is finally ready to make his return from injury. As has been reported by Mundo Deportivo, when asked if he would be fit to return against Juventus for the first preseason game, Pedri replied positively.
Replying on the Residency app, where fans can have direct contacts with professional players, Pedri stated the following when asked the question: “In principle, No problem.”
The youngster and 2022 Golden Boy Award winner will now be expected to return with the rest of the team to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on the 10th of July to begin pre-season preparations with Barcelona.
