While FC Barcelona continues to try to reinforce their team, time seems to be slipping away. The January transfer window does not have much long left, and neither do the Catalan giants. Since Barcelona wishes to incorporate new additions, they might have to act fast.

One of the names that they are most concerned about happens to be that of Lucas Bergvall. A midfielder from Sweden, he currently plays in his home country for Djurgardens. Regarded as one of Sweden’s most promising talents, Barça are quite keen on him.

However, the longer Barcelona delay the completion of an agreement with his club, the more he strays further away. Even now, as reported by SPORT, Barça are seeing new competitors enter the race for him day by day.

The latest advancements seem to be coming from the camp of Bayern Munich. Hailing from Germany, the Bavarian giants believe that the Swede could be a useful addition to their midfield. With his power, technical ability, and understanding of the game, Bayern see him as an ideal fit.

This would mean that they join the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt in pursuing the Swede. The latest report from SPORT claims that Bayern already has an offer in mind worth €9 million for the player. However, they are not the only ones.

Even Manchester United are quite enticed by the player. Yet, if there is one thing that remains in Barça’s favor, that is the will of the player himself. The 17-year-old starlet seems to like the idea of playing for Barcelona, and the Catalan club appreciates this.

Moreover, as Fabrizio Romano highlighted, Barcelona are looking to send an official bid soon. Their plan is to complete the deal for the player and then keep him at his current club until the summer of this year.

However, Bergvall remains contracted to Djurgardens until December of 2025, as it currently stands. To ensure his signature, finances will have to be arranged quickly.
