FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich are set to face off in a blockbuster clash this Wednesday in matchday 3 of the League Phase of the UEFA Champions League 2024-25. Being two of the biggest clubs in Europe, this tie is raising a lot of interest, not only among the fans of these sides but also among the football fans in general.

The build-up to this match is also getting interesting in itself. Recently, one of the stars of the Bavarian team, Thomas Muller, commented on the upcoming tie, while one of the Bayern legends, Lothar Matthaus, also had something to say about the upcoming tie and Flick’s aspirations for this game.

But things are seemingly getting more heated as SPORT reports that Bayern Munich have published a video on their X account highlighting the goals they scored in three of their victories at the home stadium of FC Barcelona.

The earliest match that features in this video is from the semi-finals of the UCL 2012-13. Led by Jupp Heynckes, Bayern had already won the home leg 4-0, before they visited the Camp Nou to get another 3-0 victory. Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller were the scorers for the Bavarians in this game, while Gerard Pique also scored an own goal.

The second match featured in this video took place in the 2021-22 season, when Bayern once again recorded a 3-0 victory over Barcelona, led by Ronald Koeman at that time. A Robert Lewandowski brace and another goal from Thomas Muller resulted in another hurting defeat for the Blaugranes.

Lastly, the third match in this video is from the 2022-23 season, when Xavi had replaced Koeman, and Lewandowski had changed sides and was then playing for Barcelona. Despite these changes, Bayern again got a 3-0 victory, with goals from Sadio Mane, Choupo-Moting, and Benjamin Pavard. The Catalans finished third in the group that season and were relegated to the Europa League.

This time, the two sides face each other on more equal terms, and thus it will be interesting to see whether Barcelona will be able to exact some revenge on the Bavarians after all these years.
