As highlighted by SPORT, German giants Bayern Munich are one step away from being able to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham, who they believe is the perfect alternative to the Barcelona target currently in their ranks.
The reasoning behind this advancement in the Palhinha deal is to ensure that Bayern are secured moving forward. Furthermore, it is an indication that the Bavarian club is truly willing to let go of Kimmich for the right price, something Barcelona are hoping to match.
As per recent reports, Bayern would be willing to listen to offers close to €30-40 million. However, that is already a steep and significant amount for a club like Barcelona, whose financial issues are quite well-documented already. Add to that the player’s reportedly immense salary, and that truly becomes a major headache for Barcelona.
