The forward line of FC Barcelona will receive a significant boost in the upcoming winter transfer window as the Brazilian teenage prodigy, Vitor Roque, will join up with Xavi’s squad.

Roque’s addition will be highly significant for the team as currently, Robert Lewandowski is the only natural goal scorer in the team.

The Pole has been performing well below his standards this season, and the arrival of Roque will not only allow Xavi to rest him when he is tired or out of form but will also motivate Lewandowski to maintain his level to keep his starting spot.

While he will be registered with the team formally in January, the player will arrive at Barcelona in the upcoming days. In fact, the trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that the striker will travel to Spain in the next 24 hours to join Barcelona.

He will arrive in Spain on Wednesday, and his family will also accompany him on this journey. In the days following his arrival, he will start training with the first team, as other members of Xavi’s squad are expected to return to training from their Christmas holidays in the last days of December.

2023 will be a year to remember for Roque, as the player exploded in Brazil and sealed his move to his beloved club, FC Barcelona.

In Brazil, he made 25 league appearances for Atletico Paranaense, scoring 12 goals and giving 3 assists. He made another 8 appearances in Copa Libertadores and had four goals and one assist in the continental competition.

However, the final phase of the year was not as great, as he suffered a serious ankle in September. After fully recovering from this injury, Roque was able to play for Paranaense in the last few games of the season and now travels to Barcelona fully fit and firing.
