FC Barcelona have often been associated with transfer moves concerning former players from time to time, and most of the time these operations end up not developing into much more than simple rumors circulating around.
At the moment, the loss of French winger Ousmane Dembele to Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain is a very real and likely headache that FC Barcelona will have to deal with to ensure they head into the new season at their very best.
However, a recent revelation has been unveiled courtesy of Spanish outlet SPORT, who claim that PSG possibly endorsed the inclusion of Brazilian star and former Barcelona icon Neymar Jr on loan in a deal during the negotiations for the 26-year-old Ousmane Dembele.
As per the report, PSG believe that Neymar would have possibly been open to the move to Catalonia so an offer such as this would be a possibility. However, Barcelona themselves would end up rejecting the proposal given that the Brazilian’s salary would be well beyond their financial feasibility at this point in time.
On the other hand, it is speculated that Neymar Jr himself also wishes to stay at PSG right now given that he is currently on one of the most financially lucrative contracts in European football and he has no intention of foregoing it as he plans to fulfil his contract.
For Barcelona on the other hand, the priority signing following Dembele’s departure remains Manchester City right-back Joao Cancelo, who La Blaugrana have reportedly already agreed personal terms with as per the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano.
