FC Barcelona have seen several Brazilian footballers light up Camp Nou throughout its history. The most notable of these Brazilians would be Ronaldinho, who is still loved not only by Culers but by football fans in general because of his laidback style weaving magic on the pitch and his friendly grin.
Keeping up with this tradition of having the best Brazilian footballers in its ranks, Barcelona have recently signed the highly-rated forward Vitor Roque. The teenager will join Barcelona this winter and is currently recovering from an injury he suffered in Athletico Paranaense’s match in Brazilian Serie A.
Another teenage prodigy shining in Brazil
While Roque is the most highly rated of the new crop of Brazilian youngsters, he is by no means the only one gaining traction. Another Brazilian teenager, Endrick, has also been highly impressive, and is already wrapped up by Real Madrid,
Another Brazilian teenager who is getting into the sights of top clubs with his impressive performances is Estevao Willian. Along with Endrick, the 16-year-old is another pearl in the Brazilian club Palmeiras and is nicknamed “Messinho” because of the similarities in his game with Lionel Messi’s.
Estevao last featured in his team’s Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Under-17 playoff quarterfinal against Fluminense, which his team was able to win 4-2. The teenager was involved in all the four goals that his side scored, scoring the first two himself before creating the next two for his teammates.
Dreams of playing for Barcelona
According to Mundo Deportivo, Estevao dreams of playing for Barcelona and the Catalans also have him in their sights, with Deco having a particular liking for the youngster. However, several other European teams are also vying for his signature. Among these teams is PSG, which has already made an offer of €50 million for the player.
However, the report further indicates that the player himself wants to keep of growing at Palmeiras before joining Barcelona once he turns eighteen years old.
