Busquets spoke about facing Real Madrid, his contract expiring at the end of the season, playing 700 games for Barcelona, and Cristiano Ronaldo joining Al-Nassr in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Spanish Super Cup Final against Real Madrid.

Busquets on the Final against Madrid:

“It will be a different game to the semi-final, two different teams with different styles, we know Real Madrid and they will be ready and we have to be careful with counter-attacks… We want to control the game.”

Busquets on his contract expiring at the end of the season:

“I have not decided on my future and I don’t know when I’ll decide. Tomorrow’s match is more important right now.”

Busquets on playing 700 games for Barcelona:

“I am very happy, it is an important number, a dream, every player dreams of reaching this number. I’m proud and happy to be at the best club in the world, the club of my life. There is no better way to celebrate than winning tomorrow.”

Busquets on the importance of winning the Spanish Super Cup:

“Beating Real Madrid is important for us. Reaching the final and winning it is important for us. We have several new players and young players. When you win titles, it’s important. We want to win.”

Busquets on being hungrier to win than Real Madrid right now:

“I think both teams are hungry. I think both teams want to win the title. As I said it’s been a long time since we won a title. We are extra motivated to continue on the path, and that’s what the team deserves.”

“Did Xavi get angry with the players during the extra time against Betis? There are moments in matches when it’s important to control our minds.”

Busquets on facing Real Madrid in the Final:

“A team like Madrid can cause you problems at any moment of the game. Winning the Spanish Super Cup will give us extra motivation and we have to remain optimistic.”

Busquets on his importance in the midfield:

“I don’t like to talk about myself too much, I always try to do my best and help everyone, I try to help in all circumstances off and on the pitch. I try to be a normal person.”

Busquets on Cristiano Ronaldo signing for Al-Nassr:

“He will bring quality to the Saudi Arabian league. I wish Ronaldo and his new team all the best.”
