Dani Alves: I want to stay, my desire is known to everyone

Dani Alves spoke to the press after the 2-0 defeat against Villarreal. He expressed his desire to continue at the club for another season as his current contract is going to expire on June 30th.

Dani says that he wants to stay at Barcelona

Fc Barcelona played their last game of the 2021-2022 season at Camp Nou. It was a night of farewells at Camp Nou as many players are expected to leave in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Alves, who has recently re-joined the Catalans, will be out of his contract by the end of June. The club and the coach haven’t decided about his renewal and his future is still up in the air.

Dani Alves spoke to the press after the game against Villareal and expressed his will to continue at the club for another season.

Dani Alves on his renewal:

“My wish is to stay at Barca but it is not up to me so I will continue to fight to continue. Until the 30th of June, I am a player of the club, I will give my best to the club, to the badge, and to the fans.”

Dani Alves on the support from the fans:

“The fans came here to support us but unfortunately we couldn’t succeed.”

Dani Alves on the next season:

“We have to think about how we can improve and come back stronger next season with a new mentality. Barca must be in the top position. Next season everything will get better and we will compete for everything with a new spirit.”

Dani Alves on his desire to stay for another season:

“I want to stay, my desire is known to everyone. I am able to compete and fight, I’m a positive person and I always try to give my best.”
