In light of the financial crisis at FC Barcelona, alternatives become crucial. These alternatives are mainly for the stars of the market that the Catalans are unable to purchase at the moment. However, in order to stay competitive and relevant, Barcelona have indeed found methods to overcome those deficiencies.

The main method that they have decided to rely upon is the usage of their own youth talents. Fortunately, Barcelona still remains arguably world football’s best producer of young talents thanks to the quality of their academy, La Masia, which remains revered for its talent production.

As such, many of those youngsters have become crucial parts of Xavi’s team this season. Due to a mixture of economic inability and injured first-team players, many youngsters entered the picture and got their chance to make their mark.

Just as Lamine Yamal, Hector Fort, Pau Cubarsi, and Marc Guiu did, Deco reportedly has the next name to do so in mind already. According to Mundo Deportivo, 16-year-old midfielder Marc Bernal is the next in line for Barcelona to enter the dynamics of the first team.

As per the report, Barcelona believe him to be ready enough to make the leap to the first team next season. Deco believes that he can take part in the preseason tour or games with the first team at the beginning of next season and become properly integrated with the first team.

Moreover, Bernal is already no stranger to making leaps in the quality around him. Despite his young age, he already plays as a regular for Barcelona Atletic under the orders of Rafa Marquez. According to his age, he should be in the lower youth levels with a Juvenil side even but he has already become a key part of Barça Atletic.

His technique with his left foot, awareness, creativity, and even his physical stature which is already impressive for a 16-year-old, Marc Bernal is seen as quite the complete midfielder. Able to play well as both a defensive midfielder and as an interior, Deco and Barcelona believe his quality deserves to be in the first team.
