Ousmane Dembele’s departure from FC Barcelona in the last summer transfer window is turning out to be a big loss for the Catalan club.

During the last season, in which Barcelona won the La Liga title, he was one of the most disrupting players in the Blaugrana squad, and his skills and pace are keenly being missed by the Catalans this season.

Raphinha was expected to take Dembele’s place this season, but the Brazilian has not been able to live up to the expectations up to this point in time. Furthermore, Lamine Yamal is still too young, and will have to grow and develop a lot more before he can be expected to take a greater role in the first-team squad.

Joao Felix was added during the last summer as a false winger, mainly because he emerged as a good market opportunity, but his continuity at the Catalan club is not guaranteed by any means. Anyway, Barcelona will have to get a good winger who can open play and create good chances for the center forwards.

According to SPORT, Deco acknowledges this area of need, and has been monitoring the market for a good winger. He was following Bryan Zaragoza from Granada closely, but Bayern Munich made their move first. Now, Deco is closely monitoring Savio from Girona, who visited the Montjuic only last Sunday.

These two are the main priorities for Deco, but the Barcelona Sporting Director is also keeping his eyes on any potential market opportunities that may arise. In this regard, Jadon Sancho and Leroy Sane are two players who can emerge as possible targets for Barcelona in the coming months.

Owing to the difficult financial conditions at Barcelona, these latter two players can be attractive options for the club. Nothing has been decided for now, and the club will make a decision only after the winter market ends so they can have a better idea of the valuation of these different players.
