FC Barcelona have not had a season to remember this term, and with the poor showing that the team has put on the pitch, there were always going to be significant implications for everyone involved.

For now, Xavi Hernandez has been the first victim of the lack of results, as he has already announced his decision to leave Barcelona at the end of the season. However, there are definitely going to be more individuals who follow the former midfielder out of the club.

In fact, according to SPORT, there is going to be a large-scale exodus from the club, as Deco will now look to get rid of some players without any resistance from the coaching staff, which previously stood up for some players to maintain balance in the squad.

Thus, Deco will have a free hand in the coming summer, there is already a squad revolution planned at Barcelona. The departures will be primarily for the sporting needs of the club, but the club’s economic aspirations will also be kept in mind, as Barcelona will have to sell some current players to sign more stars in the market.

Players going out of their contracts at the end of the season will be the first victims of this clear-out, with Sergi Roberto and Marcos Alonso the clear losers. However, the ones on loan, i.e., Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo, will continue as long as the club’s finances allow, mainly because they were Deco’s signings to begin with.

Other than these players, some established players will also be pushed out of the club, with Deco aiming to gather up to €200 million from sales.

Thus, players with a high market value will be in Deco’s sights. Thus, Raphinha is also expected to end up at another club next season, but he might not be the only forward to leave.

Midfielders can also be sold if an irresistible offer arrives, but changes are almost guaranteed in the backline. One or two center-backs are certain to be offloaded, and no one is safe in this regard. Decisions will be made keeping in view the player’s own choices and the offers received for them.
