FC Barcelona will look to continue assessing the summer transfer window in the remaining days of the market to ensure that any potential market opportunity that presents itself is taken advantage of and considered by the club rather than be allowed to pass by without the ability of Barcelona to act upon it.
As such, no doors can be considered truly closed for FC Barcelona in terms of operations that continue to be considered feasible or possible at the very least. Consequently, certain less-than-ideal scenarios are also kept in mind in case specific operations require sacrifices elsewhere.
At the moment however, there is rather a certain young star at FC Barcelona who continues to have doubts about his continuity at the club, as per Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, who is referring to the case of 21-year-old Moroccan winger Ez Abde.
Despite an improved prominence in Xavi’s plans as compared to last season, the player still does not seem to be a starter and that could potentially be the reason he still feels discontent at Barcelona and his progression at the Catalan club.
Moreover, the journalist also claims that there are in fact significant offers for the 21-year-old on the table. The player reportedly has offers from the likes of Real Betis, an English Premier League club as well as an offer from Italy that the reporter claims is willing to pay up €20 million for the 21-year-old Moroccan to permanently take him away.
The last offer would likely be a direct transfer fee while the others remain possible loan acquisitions. FC Barcelona will have to assess carefully the situation of Abde, and make adjustments according to how important he is to the plans of Xavi Hernandez.
In the scenario that Barcelona wish to retain him, they may have to showcase more faith in the youngster and help him realize his place lies within the club. On the other hand, if he does end up being considered surplus to requirements, the Catalans may have to take a different route.
