Barcelona have been made well aware of the possibility that French star Ousmane Dembele could soon be on his way out of the club, leaving behind La Blaugrana in a vulnerable state in terms of the previously reported players they had hoped to offload.
The Catalan club is currently also unaware of the entire sum that they may receive for the French winger, as the current release clause dictates an exact value of €100 million, but there is also a possibility for negotiations to occur.
As a result, FC Barcelona are unsure of whether they should even offload any other forwards at all now as was previously planned, something the Catalans had in mind as they stalled potential offers.
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, however, it appears that one player whose potential exit Barcelona has indefinitely stopped is Spanish winger Ferran Torres.
The 23-year-old former Manchester City player has thoroughly impressed during the pre-season games thus far that have taken place, scoring two goals across two matches against both English Premier League side Arsenal and El Clasico rivals Real Madrid.
Expected to be one of the names on the exit ramp this summer, it now seems that due to this unexpected turn of events in the Ousman Dembele saga, the player could end up staying at Barcelona alongside the other assortment of forwards that they currently possess.
However, it is also quite likely that Barcelona proceed to acquire another offensive talent with the funds that will be generated from the sale of the French winger. At the same time, given his solid performances in pre-season, it would not come as a shock to see Ferran Torres finally find his best form in the colors of FC Barcelona.
