€35 million-rated Barcelona youngster garnering interest from Arabia – report

Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati

A number of FC Barcelona players have been the subject of strong transfer speculation since the last week. This interest for Barcelona players comes at an opportune time for the club, as the Catalans need a significant financial boost to sort out their economic problems and ensure their competitiveness in the highly competitive European football.

Ousmane Dembele has been strongly linked with the French club Paris Saint Germain, and the Frenchman’s move to Paris, although not official yet, is very likely to be finalized by the end of this summer transfer window.

However, Dembele is not the only Barcelona player who is wanted by PSG, as the Qatar-backed club also had its sights on Ansu Fati. Fati, after a very promising start to his Barcelona career, has seen his growth stagnate in the last few seasons, particularly because of the unfortunate injuries he has suffered consistently.

As a result, the club believes Fati is not an integral piece for Xavi going forward and can be sold, especially in the current desperate financial conditions of the club. The club was open to moving him to Wolves in exchange for Ruben Neves, but the player himself refused such a move.

The latest news about the player has been provided by the journalist Javi Miguel, who claims that a club from Arabia is also interested in the Spanish youngster. He further reports that this unnamed Arabian club is ready to make an irresistible offer for Fati and indicates that such an offer can persuade Fati’s father to pressurize his son to go to Arabia.

Ansu’s father, Bori Fati, has already lashed out at Barcelona earlier this year, as Fati was not getting much game time under Xavi. Bori Fati revealed to the media that he wants his son to leave the Catalan club for the sake of his growth and development. Now with the added motivation of millions of Euros, it remains to be seen whether Fati will remain at Barcelona for the upcoming season.
