As the ongoing summer transfer window comes to a close, FC Barcelona continue to work on their summer arrivals as well as continuing to work on making sure certain departures take place in accordance to the club’s goals both financially and from a sporting sense.
While certain departures are understood to be in the plans of FC Barcelona, one that definitely was not was that of French winger Ousmane Dembele’s, who ended up making a move to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-German despite Barcelona having hoped to keep the player performing as he was under Xavi.
Since then, Barcelona have been attempting to retain their forwards, as depicted in their intention to keep Abde at the club, as well as scout the market for possible recruitments, such as the folder of Joao Felix.
In the most recent of developments however, according to journalist Gianluigi Longari, Barcelona winger Raphinha has caught the eye of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, who continue to assess his situation.
While no formal offer has thus far arrived from the Saudi Arabian club, it is reported that they may intend to progress their interest for the Brazilian in the final days of the summer transfer window.
However, it should be remembered that Barcelona are unlikely to offload Raphinha regardless of any potential offer arriving unless they have an adequate replacement lined up.
Originally hoping to bring in Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, Barcelona were ultimately unable to do so and the 28-year-old ended up renewing with Manchester City.
As such, given their unsuccessful attempts on other fronts, it is quite unlikely Barcelona would be willing to let go of arguably their most favored winger of Xavi Hernandez left in the squad.
It will be interesting to follow any developments on the front of Raphinha however, as the player continues to complete his suspended period before he can feature for Barcelona once again following the conclusion of the upcoming game against Villarreal.
