Troubling days continue to persist for FC Barcelona, both on and off the field. While the Catalan giants are undoubtedly not at their best in terms of their playing levels, they are also famously struggling with the financial side of things on top of that.

Consequently, this generates rumours and possibilities of various exits. Top Barcelona players begin victims for the media to exploit and spread misinformation about. However, one particular rumour that recently began to circulate a lot involved Ronald Araujo and Bayern Munich.

As per the emerging reports, the Bavarian giants are possibly quite interested in the Uruguayan. The Barcelona defender is undoubtedly one of the finest in Europe within his category, and it comes as no surprise that a club like Bayern may be interested in his services.

However, fortunately for Barcelona, Araujo seems to have no interest in parting ways with La Blaugrana. According to the latest information provided by SPORT, the entourage of the player clearly denies these links to Bayern.

For them and for the player, Barcelona remains his dream club. Having been made a team captain this season, his goal remains to succeed with Barcelona. As it stands, the message from the entourage is direct:

“Araujo fought to play in Barça’s first team. He achieved it and is very grateful for the opportunity given to him by the club. His focus remains on winning titles with this shirt.”

The player’s environment continue to deny both any interest from the player’s side as well as confirming that no interest has been shown from neither Bayern nor any other side.

Contractually, Ronald Araujo remains obligated to Barcelona until the summer of 2026. He has an active release clause of €1 billion, and SPORT confirm that Barcelona considers him untouchable. The Uruguayan is seen as a pillar of the club, and is considered a key figure in helping Barcelona regain its status in the elite.
