FC Barcelona continues to go game by game with the hopes of recovering their key players gradually. So far, the reality is that Hansi Flick is not a coach who complains or moans about the issues with his team or situation. Instead, he has led his Barcelona team to five wins out of five games and his resolution remains absolute.

While 15 points out of a maximum total of 15 sounds amazing, it would be even more sweet if Barcelona could see their injured stars gradually return. However, instead of the injury list slowly decreasing, it only continues to increase as more names start to be added to it while already present names are not being scratched off.

Dani Olmo, for instance, becomes only the latest victim to this ever-growing injury list. An unfortunate injury, and one that comes at a rather bad time, Barcelona will now possibly have to play the next several games without the help of the Spaniard.

Fortunately, it seems that they will now finally see some injured players gradually make their long-awaited returns. According to Javi Miguel, one of those players will be Frenkie de Jong, and the Dutch midfielder will likely be back in time to be included in the squad for the Getafe game.

After having rejoined group training recently, it seems that the €70 million-rated Barcelona captain is managing to get up to speed with his teammates and it may not be much longer before he can return to the actual pitch with them as well. At the moment, the recent report suggests that could happen as soon as next week against Getafe in La Liga.

With the Dutchman’s return, Barcelona would be given a massive boost in quality. Thanks to his presence, the Catalan club will be offered a lot more opportunities to move some pieces around to make sure that Dani Olmo’s absence is not missed too much and results can be kept consistent even then.

Fermin Lopez and Ansu Fati are also close to a return it seems, but De Jong’s recovery is something that people have been waiting on for a long time. Now that he is finally on the grass again and even training with his teammates with a return date in sight, excitement at the club will only continue to grow.
