No matter how one looks at it, the injury problems at Barcelona are quite grim. The Catalan giants, without some of their best players, continue to barely stay afloat. However, as the season progresses, Barcelona seem confident about welcoming back their injured soldiers soon.

Many of the injured players also happen to be midfielders, coincidentally. The likes of Gavi, Frenkie De Jong, and Pedri all currently remain sidelined. However, in what is some really positive news for Barcelona, the latter is not too far away from making his return.

As highlighted by SPORT, Pedri is facing the last hurdles of his recovery with a strong mindset. His mental and physical recovery are both going hand in hand, and with him already training on the grass again, there is great optimism within Barcelona about his not-too-distant welcome back.

In fact, there is a great belief that the Spaniard could be back in time to face Paris Saint-Germain. While there is no guarantee that he will be back for the first or second leg, his recovery is already a very positive sign. Regardless of which PSG leg he comes back for, what is almost taken as a guarantee is his presence against Real Madrid.

The all-important El Clasico encounter that will take place at the Bernabeu will be the game to keep in mind for a definite return from the Canary Islander. Even though there is a strong chance he will make a return even before that, that game is almost taken as a guarantee as per the report.

For now, Barcelona do not give Pedri’s return an exact date to go along with it. They are well aware of the difficulties he has already encountered due to injuries, and are thus correctly not rushing him back. The hope is now that once he does return, this will be the last of a long string of such physical setbacks.
