It is not always easy for a Barcelona player to accept the reality of moving away from the club. Be that as it may, even a temporary farewell to the club can sometimes feel burdening to players. Self-doubt and a loss of confidence can take over, and Barcelona can do nothing but watch as it does.
However, where some crumble, others manage to prevail. Going out on loan is usually a tough ordeal, but some players can use it to their advantage and propel their careers into an even better place by the end of their respective loan spells.
Keeping that in mind, Barcelona have kept a close eye on their various loanees. At the moment, eight different Barcelona players are currently out on loan. From the English Premier League to the Dutch Eredivisie, these various stars are showcasing their strengths in whatever way they can.
Mundo Deportivo has thus highlighted the various players that Barcelona has sent out on loan. While some are cruising and making an even bigger name for themselves, others are arguably doing the polar opposite for themselves.
1: Ansu Fati (Brighton)
Perhaps the loanee that has generated the most noise, Ansu Fati is currently playing for Brighton in the English Premier League. Across 13 games in all competitions, he has managed to accumulate a respectable 597 minutes in which he has scored 4 goals and provided one assist as well.
2: Eric Garcia (Girona)
Another loanee that seems to be doing extraordinarily well is Eric Garcia. The central defender is occupied with Michel’s Girona and has done a wonderful job in defending the side’s colors. Top of La Liga as it stands, he has started in eight games and even scored a goal for them across his impressive 682 minutes.
3: Julian Araujo (Las Palmas)
Las Palmas is renowned for being able to hone great young talents. As a result, sending 22-year-old Julian Araujo there on loan was a good decision. Thus far, he has accumulated 675 minutes across 12 games and even managed to score once.
4: Sergino Dest (PSV)
Another fullback for Barcelona who is currently out on loan, Sergino Dest is enjoying his time back in the Netherlands. Formerly from Ajax, he is now doing well enough for himself playing with PSV Eindhoven. He currently has 1081 minutes under his belt and reports suggest PSV may even be tempted to permanently sign him.
5: Pablo Torre (Girona)
Young Pablo Torre is also out on loan at Girona, much like his Spanish companion Eric Garcia. However, unlike Garcia, he has hardly had any time to feature under Michel. Across 8 appearances, he has only featured for 119 minutes and thus far has had an impact that is far from remarkable.
6: Clement Lenglet (Aston Villa)
Yet another underperforming star, Clement Lenglet could be a significant problem for Barcelona. Having hoped that they could permanently offload him, it currently seems like an improbable ideal. He has only featured in 4 games and played 360 minutes across them.
7: Chadi Riad (Real Betis)
Despite being only a developing youngster at 20 years of age, Riad has made a name for himself at Real Betis. Given the current situation, he has managed to take full advantage of the circumstances at the club. With 9 appearances and 714 minutes under his belt, he could soon become a defined starter for the side.
8: Alex Valle (Levante)
The youngster began his loan at Levante UD in spectacular fashion. Already a starter for the club, he has played 10 games and 865 minutes thus far. While his performances continued to be impressive, it was ultimately an injury that has now prevented him from appearing recently.
