FC Barcelona continues to face significant challenges with the registration issues surrounding Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. This situation serves as a stark reminder that the Catalan giants are still far from resolving their longstanding financial troubles.

In such precarious circumstances, any unexpected financial boost would be a welcome relief. Interestingly, the upcoming January transfer window might present Barcelona with an opportunity to benefit financially, thanks to a former quarry player currently plying his trade in Serie B.

Estanis Pedrola, once one of the brightest prospects of the reserve team, left the club last summer to join Italian side Sampdoria. While Sampdoria is historically a prestigious club, they are now enduring a tough spell in the second division of Italian football, Serie B.

Sampdoria are struggling even in the second division of Italian football, and Estanis Pedrola is not regarded as one of their key players. According to SPORT, he could be among the names listed for departure, a situation that might work in Barcelona’s favor.

If Pedrola is sold this summer, Barcelona stand to benefit from the 50% sell-on clause they smartly negotiated during his transfer. While it’s unlikely that any club would pay a significant fee for the Spaniard, given Barcelona’s current financial difficulties, any influx of cash would be a welcome relief.

Pedrola has faced a tough year, struggling with injuries that have included relapses and ultimately required surgery. This has undoubtedly stalled his development, but at just 21 years old, there is still time for him to regain his form and realize his potential.

Whether any clubs will make an offer for the Spaniard in January remains to be seen, as well as how much Barcelona could profit from the sale. It’s somewhat disappointing that a club of Barcelona’s stature is forced to focus on such trivial matters, but this is the reality the club finds itself in. Only time will tell how the situation unfolds.
