With each and every passing day, FC Barcelona must commit themselves more and more towards their targets. The Catalan club can no longer sit back and watch, so it becomes important for them to now act on their interests. At the moment, Barcelona have a few very specific targets to address.

Apart from needing to sign a new pivot, Barça are adamant on also signing a new left-winger. Following his exceptional performances for both Athletic Club and the Spanish National team, 21-year-old Nico Williams has already become the primary target for FC Barcelona during this summer transfer window.

With club president Joan Laporta already having stated his desire and having confirmed the club’s ability to sign the player, a lot of excitement and buzz is surrounding the operation. Moreover, while the player may currently be focused on the European Championship, Fabrizio Romano reports some positive progression for Barcelona.

As per the Italian journalist, Barcelona have already activated contacts to try to sign the player. Moreover, the club is constantly working on achieving this ‘dream’ signing. At the moment, however, the player will not be making any big decision until after the Euro final against England.

After that, however, Romano reports that the player will talk directly with his agent and the people close to him. Only then will his final decision be marked and then proceeded upon. Fortunately for Barcelona, many reports suggest that the player is already more than willing to join the Catalan giants.

Other reports have even gone on to suggest that the player may already have agreed terms with the club as well. It remains to be seen just how advanced the operation actually is, but it is widely accepted that the player is open to the move and that Barcelona themselves are hoping to make it a reality.
