FC Barcelona emerged victorious against AC Milan in what was their final clash for the pre-season tour of the United States of America before they head back to Catalonia. Here is how the players fared in the 1-0 victory for FC Barcelona.

Player Ratings:

Was comfortable on the ball when it came to possession and made some really solid saves to keep the game scoreless against a motivated AC Milan side.

Made solid overlapping runs in the first half, connected good passes throughout the time he was on the field, and even managed to offer up an offensive outlet to his fellow teammates from time to time.

Showcased progressive abilities as well as a keen eye for a pass, solid performance from the Spaniard while he was on the field.

The Uruguayan was kept busy with the threat of Rafael Leao, but the new Barcelona captain managed to keep his Portuguese opponent at bay and limited almost all of the chances he had coming his way.

Another defensive unit that managed to hold his own was Jules Kounde, and the Frenchman also showcased his immense passing attributes by often finding really solid spaces to help Barcelona retain possession better.

Was not very active during the first half and at times did seem one step too late whenever a pass would come his way. Otherwise, the veteran midfielder did manage to string together smart passes to keep possession circulating.

Masterful in his distribution of the ball and a joy to watch whenever the ball reached his feet. Retained possession well and timed all of his decisions near to perfection while he was on the field.

Not as dynamic or immersed as he was against Real Madrid, but the youngster did display good energy in the middle of the field to keep the game flowing.

The Moroccan winger was a constant threat to AC Milan and produced some of the best dribbling out on the field in the final pre-season friendly in the United States for Barcelona. The youngster did make some moves that would have ideally been better executed under better decision-making from the winger.

Isolated and often had to drop deep to even get contact with the ball, the Spanish forward was quite ineffective during the first half and it was a troubling hassle for his teammates to find him in the middle of a compact Milan defense.

Similar to Abde, the Brazilian winger Raphinha also continued to attack the Milan flank and keep them at bay by testing them out both by dribbling through their ranks as well as attempting to keep Maignan awake with some strong attempts at goal.

Substitutes:

An immense injection of quality and urgency to the frontline, Fati’s performance was a clear display of a player regaining his confidence as he was the one responsible for breaking the deadlock with a well-struck effort into the top corner in the 55th minute.

The youngster was quickly able to adapt to the game upon his substitution and was the one responsible for providing the assist for Ansu Fati’s goal.

More or less uninvolved in proceedings but did his best to keep a balance in midfield and consistently circulate possession.

A bit sluggish in his link-up play and seemed quite lethargic even when presented with good chances to take an effort at goal.

The Dutchman is enjoying a fine streak of good performances, continuing that trend against AC Milan as he weaved his way best their defenses and also provided some great passes as well.

Consistently dispossessed and lacked awareness of his surroundings, poor display by the American.

Showcased both trickery and intent in his display, but the youngster was unable to leave a lasting mark on the game within the minutes he was provided.
