After a narrow win over Osasuna B, FC Barcelona Atlètic will host Athletic Bilbao B on Saturday night at Estadi Johan Cruyff on matchday 12 of group 2 of the Primera División RFEF.
The majority of the key players of FC Barcelona Atlètic were on international duty and Rafa Márquez was waiting for the availability of his players for the clash against Athletic Bilbao B and as per recent reports from Diario Sport, his side has received a major boost as most of the players will be available for selection.
The Spanish Under-21 side faced Japan under-21 in a friendly match that featured Arnau Tenas. The Spanish Under-21 side won the match 2-0 and Arnau Tenas played the entirety of the match.
Despite playing for the full 90 minutes against Japan under-21, the Spanish goalkeeper will be available for selection against Athletic Bilbao B. It will be a massive boost for the B team, as Arnau Tenas is the first-choice goalkeeper for Rafa Márquez’s side.
Alongside Arnau Tenas, Rafa Márquez will also be able to count on Fabio Blanco, Ilias, Álex Valle, and Víctor Barberá. All of these players were with the Spain Under-19 squad and got released after negotiations between the club and the RFEF to play the match against Athletic Bilbao B. Chadi Riad, who was with the Morocco Under-23 side will also be available for selection for today’s match after being released.
All in all, although Osasuna B is not in great shape, they are a capable opponent to pose threat to any team and it will be, indeed, an important game as Rafa Márquez will try to rekindle some form of spark within the sulking B team currently sitting at the 10th spot in the group 2 of the Primera División RFEF.
