The acquisitions preferred by FC Barcelona to reinforce their squad for the upcoming years as they look to upgrade their team and compete for silverware in abundance over the coming years are not all certain arrivals and some require further effort than others.

The Blaugranes are aware that the increased restrictions that financial fair play rulings have placed on them this season make certain transfers unfeasible. As a result, they are looking for innovative ways to guarantee arrivals.

One player that Barcelona have kept an ever-vigilant eye upon is Turkish prodigy Arda Guler, with the 18-year-old talent managing to turn heads all around Europe, with even other elite sides such as Real Madrid being interested in his signing.

Barcelona believe that a potentially feasible route to ensure the signing of Guler would be to pay a portion of his €17.5 million release clause right now while letting him stay on loan at Fenerbahce for a year and pay the second half of the fee next year.

However, as has been revealed by Spanish outlet SPORT, there may be another possibility for the Catalan club to exploit.

Fellow La Liga side Real Betis have offered FC Barcelona the opportunity to purchase the Turkish talent and then instead of leaving him on loan in Turkey, which is a scenario that even the player and his entourage do not really fancy, the Catalans could instead loan him to Real Betis instead.

Through the course of this possibility, Barcelona could retain the youngster in Spain and instead of letting him continue in his native country for another year, they could instead allow him the opportunity to adapt to Spanish football in a team that is playing the same tier of football that Barcelona themselves play.

A player that Betis considers to be quite talented, just as other top European sides do, through this potential deal with Barcelona, Los Verdiblancos could end up helping both themselves as well as La Blaugrana with this offer.

At the moment it remains to be seen what exactly turns out to be the finalization of Barca’s negotiations with Guler and Fenerbahce keeping in mind financial fair play. If exits can be guaranteed, Barcelona would opt to bring him in this year to Catalonia, however, that potential prospect remains unlikely at the moment.
