It seems that FC Barcelona tend to have a rather alert eye on the Brazilian market at all times. Historically speaking, that specific market has provided a lot of joy to the Catalan club. Many of the Barcelona greats and heroes have emerged from that very country.

However, now more than ever due to their financial problems, Barcelona turn towards South American talents to recruit some firepower. Considered by the club to be a more affordable alternative to European talents, Barça has put a lot of their attention there.

Many names, including those of ‘Messinho’ and others, are on the agenda of the Catalan club. Some of those are aged 16 or 17, and others are slightly older as well. However, a certain Brazilian name that stands out for both his age and current placement, is that of Guilherme Ruck.

Aged only 14, the talented Brazilian midfielder has caught the eyes of two eternal rivals. Both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid seemed to have their eyes set on the young midfield prodigy. However, it seems now that he may be slipping away from both the El Clasico rivals.

As per SPORT, the latest information from Brazil suggests that South American side Flamengo has advanced their negotiations to sign the talented youngster. At the moment, Ruck remains contracted to Ronaldo Nazario’s Real Valladolid in Spain.

The Barcelona target, despite just being 14, already has great European experience. Previously in Portugal, he represented Vitoria de Guimaraes, Braga, and then even Porto. Soon after, he caught the eye of Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

However, due to some bureaucratic issues, that deal could not come to fruition. He still ends up going to Spain, however, but instead to Rayo Majadahonda. Not too long after, Valladolid picked him up and he has been impressing with the side ever since.

Now, it seems that a possible homecoming could be on the cards for him. Returning to Brazil would possibly bring joy to both him and Flamengo. However, it would leave both Barcelona and Real Madrid feeling outplayed.
