Although FC Barcelona are focusing mainly on signings this summer transfer window, they are also not ignoring other tasks they have set for themselves.

The Blaugrana club has already completed the signing of Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig. Furthermore, they have also registered three of their players with La Liga, including Eric Garcia, Clement Lenglet, and Ansu Fati. With this registration, these players will be available for the league opener against Valencia if they are fit and ready to play.

However, in actuality, only Eric Garcia will be available to play in this upcoming match. Ansu Fati is injured and will not be fit for this match, while Clement Lenglet’s registration is only a formality which will let the club generate some fair-play margin when he is allowed to depart this summer.

The Catalans are quite close to ensuring the French center-back leaves on another loan this summer, with Atletico Madrid and Villarreal being the interested clubs. Barcelona undertook a meeting with his agent on Sunday, and his absence from the Gamper match also showed the possibility of his imminent departure.

But according to Mundo Deportivo, Hansi Flick wants another player to get registered in time for the game against Valencia, the center-back Inigo Martinez. The new Barcelona coach is highly satisfied with the 33-year-old Basque defender and believes he can contribute significantly to the team.

This will be the second year of the veteran defender at the Catalan club after he signed for two years after running out his contract at Athletic Club. He featured for his side in the Joan Gamper Trophy match against AS Monaco last night, and was one of the only three players who played for the full 90 minutes, with Marc Casado and Pau Victor being the other two.
