FC Barcelona, along with other football clubs in Europe, are reaching the end of this summer transfer window. These clubs have only a few days left to conclude their transfer operations.
At FC Barcelona, one of the main tasks left to be completed is the departure of some of the players not needed for the upcoming season. Mundo Deportivo has provided an update on the four players most likely to leave the Catalan club in the coming days.
Clement Lenglet
The latest update on the French defender is that he has given the green light for a loan move to Sevilla, where he used to play before moving to FC Barcelona. His salary still remains the major obstacle to his move, as has been the case throughout the summer. The two clubs are currently negotiating for distribution of his salary, while Tottenham and Saudi clubs are still in for him.
Eric Garica
Both Xavi and Eric Garcia himself want to continue working with one another at Barcelona, but there is no doubt that Garcia is currently quite low in the defensive pecking order. Meanwhile, multiple teams, including Girona, are interested in him, and the player is also open to a move to Girona. Barcelona want him to continue, but Garcia will have the last word on this matter.
Marcos Alonso
Xavi was planning to use Alonso as the backup for Balde during this season, but the arrival of Cancelo, who can play on both flanks, makes such a role redundant. Manchester United is the latest side to show an interest in him, and if Alonso ends up leaving the club, the Catalans still have themselves covered with Joao Cancelo.
Ez Abde
Abde returned to Barcelona this summer after an attractive loan stint at Osasuna, and despite convincing Xavi, is not getting the minutes he desires at Barcelona. He did not feature in the Villarreal match, and is considering several options that he currently has on the table. Barcelona do not want him to go on loan, and want at least €30 million for a sale.
These are the four players who are the most likely to leave Barcelona this summer. The club was also open to selling Ansu Fati, but the player clearly wants to stay at the Catalan club, and Barcelona would not force him to leave without his consent.
