FC Barcelona have had quite a few instances in the recent past where they have mismanaged players, resulting in them suffering from long bouts of injuries as was the case with Pedri for many seasons and even Ansu Fati.

Last January, the club made a decision, that in hindsight wasn’t really well thought out. Barcelona accelerated the arrival of Vitor Roque from Brazil but the player struggled to adapt to life in Spain and hardly featured under Xavi.

He looked devoid of any confidence in front of goal and it is safe to say that the club did not help him in any regard. Eventually, he was loaned out to Real Betis at the start of this season where he has made a significant impact.

Now, as per Fichajes, four Premier League clubs are interested in signing the teenage Barcelona striker next summer. These clubs include Tottenham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Brentford and the Blaugranes have an important decision to make.

It is important to note here that even Real Betis have an option to buy him permanently and considering his performance so far this season, there is a good chance the Spanish side could consider triggering his buy option.

Barcelona are still in a precarious financial position and if they can sell Roque for a profit, it would bode very well for them on the books. The Catalan club however needs to evaluate whether the Brazilian will actually be a good fit for the squad.

Ultimately, the decision might end up with Hansi Flick. Robert Lewandowski is not getting any younger and someone like Roque has a huge ceiling. Thus, the club might want to persist with him and help get the best out of him, and let’s wait and see how it plays out.
