Gavi has to wait until January 2023 to wear the Number 6 Shirt: Report

Fc Barcelona’s delicate financial situation and FFP rules stalled Gavi’s registration with the first team in this summer transfer window. Gavi is currently registered with Barca Juvenil A and does not have a first-team squad number.

Gavi’s Renewal: Report

Gavi’s registration as a first-team player has been delayed until the winter of 2023 but the club considers his renewal a priority as many top European clubs are keeping an eye on his situation.

As per multiple reports, Bayern Munich inquired about Gavi but the player was not interested in a move away from Camp Nou. Gavi has already agreed on personnel terms with the club and his renewal is just a matter of time.

Initially, Gavi’s renewal was planned to be completed before the end of this summer transfer window but the club was forced to postpone the proceedings due to a very tight salary margin and FFP rules.

Now the club has reserved the legendary Number “6” shirt worn by the Blaugrana coach Xavi Hernández in the past for Pablo Gavi until he officially pens down his renewal contract and gets registered with the first team in the upcoming winter transfer window of 2023.
