Youth talents are a common bet for FC Barcelona to rely upon quite often. These talents being developed in the subsidiary and the youth academy are seen as the future of La Blaugrana. However, many of them manage to achieve things even beyond just Barcelona.

In fact, the Catalan club has been home to several World Cup winners. The likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Carles Puyol, and several others have emerged from the Barcelona academy and gone on to win FIFA’s premier competition.

However, not every single youngster in the academy and subsidiary has won the same version of the prestigious tournament. Most recently, German wonderkid Noah Darvich managed to triumph in the Under-17 category of the FIFA World Cup.

As highlighted by SPORT, he has only recently returned to Barcelona from Indonesia following the tournament. One day after his arrival back, he returns to training at the Ciutat Esportiva. He was then asked about the experience and his future objectives.

“Winning the tournament gives me more confidence, and I want to continue evolving as a footballer. I want to adapt to the Barcelona style of play. My goal is to keep learning and enjoying every training session and match to continue growing.”

He also shared his personal emotions after triumphing as captain of his German team:

“It has been very special, and I am very proud. It’s an incredible feeling. Being the captain of the German national team is special; I’ve enjoyed it a lot, and all the matches have been very good.”

The Barcelona midfielder also acknowledged that facing off against his teammates when Germany took on Spain was a special encounter:

“It was incredible and one of the most spectacular games, playing against my teammates, Cubarsí, Pau Prim, Héctor Fort, etc… it was very beautiful.”

He will now hope to translate his great form from the national team into his club displays. Rafa Marquez has not counted on the German youngster too often, but Darvich will be hoping to make that change through his new-found confidence.
