Gianluca Prestianni is one of the most promising Argentinean youngsters, and his talents have triggered the attention of some of the top clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid and Barcelona.
However, a recent report from Hablemos de Velez suggests that Barcelona have pipped other clubs vying for his signature, and are set to complete his signing in the next few days. The Catalan club would pay his release clause to bring him to Spain.
A brief introduction of Gianluca Prestianni:
Gianluca Prestianni is currently playing for Velez Sarsfield, where he came up through the ranks, having gotten to the reserves only at 15 years of age, and now being a part of the first team squad aged only 16.
Thus, he is the third youngest player to debut in the Argentine league, after only Diego Maradona and Sergio Aguero. However, his young years have not kept him from expressing himself on the field, as he has already made 6 first-team appearances, and has 1 assist to his name while playing on the left wing.
A potential Move to Barcelona:
This is certainly good news for the Blaugrana faithful, as the club has a long tradition of attracting the top South American talent, and some of their most revered legends like Ronaldinho, Messi, Suarez, and Rivaldo all came from South America.
The club recently missed out on another top talent in Endrick, as he signed for their rivals, Real Madrid. However, Prestianni and another Argentine signing concluded by the Blaugrana recently, Lucas Ramon, will hopefully more than make up for the Brazilian star that Barcelona missed out on.
