The quest to find the next coach for FC Barcelona continues to be a hot topic in Spain. Xavi Hernandez has already decided and announced his decision to part ways with the club in the summer. However, this news comes with all new kinds of problems that Barcelona now has to address.

For now, Barcelona continues to trust the Spaniard to lead the team to a strong finish. However, beyond the conclusion of this season, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Catalan club. As per several reports, a lot of different names have already been considered as well.

One name that does stick out, alongside a few others, is that of Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian man currently manages his team in the Premier League, and is also reportedly Pep Guardiola’s choice for Barcelona to hire.

However, as conveyed by Fabrizio Romano as well, the Brighton coach does not look towards his future for now: “I have only Brighton in my head. have decided nothing and I’m under contract here.”

Beyond just giving that answer when asked about his possible link to Barcelona and other sides, he further elaborated: “I’d like to finish the season in the best way with our young players. My focus is on Brighton, 100%.”

While this may seem like a blow to Barça’s plans, it truly is not one. It is almost a professional expectation of the Italian to continue coaching Brighton with the utmost sincerity and have his entire focus on his current team until at least the end of this ongoing campaign.

After that, the future is yet to give an answer to anyone in the footballing world regarding Barcelona. Names like Thomas Tuchel, Hansi Flick, and others continue to be thrown around, but it seems that there are simply no guarantees right now for Barça, whether it be with players or with the coaching staff.
