FC Barcelona fans were unable to see their team in action for the last two weeks, as the November international break put a pause to club football across Europe.

However, despite there being no club action, these fans still had some interesting international matches to watch.

One of the teams that would have generated the most interest in Barcelona fans would naturally be Spain, as there were several Blaugrana players playing for Luis de la Fuente’s team.

Dani Olmo once again excelled with his national team in this break, while this break was also special for Pedri as he played in his home city for the first time with the Spanish national team.

However, this break would have been the most memorable for another Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, as it was the first time he got a call-up from the senior Spain side, and he made his debut in his country’s colors.

As has been the case with Barcelona, Casado also put in impressive shifts with the Spanish national team. As Mundo Deportivo has reported, Hansi Flick also expressed his satisfaction with how the youngster played in this break as he addressed a press conference ahead of the game against Celta Vigo:

“I’m very satisfied with how he’s [Casado] playing. He’s played many games, including with Spain. And he performs the same way. He’s very experienced in his role and must keep it up.”

Now, having made his debut with Spain, Casado has already returned to Barcelona and will be looking forward to once again taking the reins of the midfield in the upcoming game against Celta Vigo.

Despite this being his first season with the first team, the 21-year-old La Masia graduate has been performing at a very good level and has clearly been the breakout starlet of this season.
