The Hansi Flick era has gotten off to a flying start at FC Barcelona as the German coach has led his team to four victories in four official matches up to now.

The Catalans started the 2024-25 season with a match against Valencia, which they won 2-1 with a brace from Robert Lewandowski. The second game against Athletic Club was scheduled at Montjuic, which the Blaugranes once again won with the same scoreline of 2-1, with Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal being the goal-scorers.

Barcelona traveled to Vallecas for their third match of the La Liga 2024-25 campaign, and again won the match 2-1, with Pedri and Dani Olmo getting their names on the scoresheet. The last game for the Catalans came against Real Valladolid, which they won through a 7-0 drubbing, with a Raphinha hat-trick and goals from Kounde, Torres, Olmo, and Lewandowski.

As Mundo Deportivo has noted, with these first four victories in charge of Barcelona, Flick has now emulated the record that he created with Bayern Munich when he was first put in charge of the Bavarian team.

With Bayern, Flick led his team to a victory against Olympiacos in the UCL, before getting two more victories against Borussia Dortmund and Fortuna Dusseldorf, and another win against Red Star in the UCL.

Lewandowski was Flick’s main offensive weapon in those four games, as he scored a total of seven goals. Four of these goals came in a single game against Red Star in the UCL.

However, the German tactician was unable to maintain this momentum going forward, as his side lost the next two matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach. Lewandowski was also unable to score in these two games.

Barcelona fans will thus be hoping that Flick does not follow this same path with their team, and continues to win in the matches to come.
