After a very good start to the 2024-25 season, getting 9 victories in 11 matches up to now, FC Barcelona fans will now be excited to see their team return to action after the October international break.

This is especially true as the Blaugranes are heading into a crucial period, with tough fixtures on the horizon against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, making the upcoming days particularly challenging and exciting.

These two matches, which are scheduled to take place in a space of three days, will be the first real tests for Hansi Flick in his Barcelona career. But before thinking about these games, the German tactician will have to take care of another difficult game against Sevilla.

However, as Mundo Deportivo has noted, Hansi Flick will have up to four reinforcements for these games, as Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo, and Wojciech Szczesny are all expected to return to availability for these upcoming games.

The most exciting return will be that of Gavi, who might make his return to the pitch in one of these matches, after spending almost one full year on the sidelines. His ACL tear caused him to miss up to 48 matches. However, he will step onto the pitch only for a few minutes, only if the game is going in favor of his side, as Flick will not be willing to risk a relapse for him, or any other player.

Dani Olmo’s return will also raise a lot of hopes among the fans, as he already showed the great influence he can have on the team in his three appearances before he suffered the injury to his right thigh.

Similarly, Fermin Lopez will also be able to return after suffering two injuries in quick succession, one with the Spanish U-21 team, and the other while training at Barcelona.

Lastly, Wojciech Szczesny is now ready and looking forward to getting his very first appearance in a Barcelona shirt after signing for the club a few weeks ago. However, he will have to compete with Inaki Pena to get a starting spot.
