The September international break has ended, and the FC Barcelona players who had gone for their national team duties have already reported back to the club.
The Catalans are set to face quite a difficult and important phase of the season in the coming weeks, as they are scheduled to play against some tricky opponents in La Liga, while also kicking off their UEFA Champions League campaign.
Hansi Flick is fully aware of the importance of the next few matches. This is clear from a report from Mundo Deportivo which reveals that the German tactician held a meeting with the entire squad at the Estadi Johan Cruyff to motivate them to give their best for this crucial phase of the season.
Flick had a very clear message for the players and the members of the Barcelona squad present at this huddle: “Now we all have to make an important effort for the demanding matches ahead. We have to go as a team.”
This message was received very well by the squad and the staff. These individuals will now be looking to get positive results from the difficult upcoming matches against Girona, Monaco, and Villarreal, thus getting a good start to their UCL campaign.
This meeting once again also highlighted Flick’s propensity to give credit to all the members of his coaching staff and the players. Furthermore, to enhance the group spirit, the German coach has also planned a lunch at the Can Ferran restaurants, where he has also invited the kitchen workers at the club to let them be served food for one particular day.
Overall, this lunch is planned to applaud the work of the entire staff. The members of the staff are all very grateful for Flick’s attitude, and particularly point out his cordiality and politeness, while also demanding the best from everyone.
