The work never stops at FC Barcelona, as the Catalan giants continue to face top opponent after top opponent. Fortunately for La Blaugrana, the players seem more than ready for any such kind of challenge. However, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick will have to make some big decisions.

With a game against CA Osasuna coming up next in La Liga, Barça will need to aim for three points in order to maintain their top spot in the league. However, right after that game, Flick’s side will need to face off against SL Benfica in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie after winning the first leg.

For this reason, rotations are something that the German coach will have to consider given how exhausted his regular starters might be right now due to their intense workload. One such player who undoubtedly has been giving a lot of energy and commitment to the team is Pedri, and he might be given a rest in the next game.

However, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Hansi Flick is yet to provide a definitive answer as to whether or not the young Spaniard will start or not. Instead, he chose to begin speaking about Pedri by praising his commitment to the cause:

“He trains at an exceptionally high level every day, and then you can see that level on the field, where he gives us a lot of strength and plays just like he trains.”

He further highlighted the player’s attitude as well, pointing out how he never seems to lose focus or not give it his all:

“He is very professional, his attitude is incredible every day. His attitude towards recovery and training at the highest level is remarkable. You can see it on the field.”

As for his involvement in the upcoming game against CA Osasuna, the Barcelona coach said that Pedri’s role in the game will be decided on the day of the match itself:

“We will decide tomorrow (Saturday, the day of the match).”

Ultimately, the final decision lies with Hansi Flick and he will know which course of action is the best one to take. However, given how important Pedri is to the team, it would not be surprising to see the €100 million-rated midfielder being rested for the crucial encounter against Benfica right after this upcoming game.
