FC Barcelona have had an amazing start to life under Hansi Flick. The German tactician has not needed a lot of time to adapt the Blaugrana team to his philosophy and style of play, and has been able to get very good results in a very short period of time on the Barcelona bench.

With these results, the Catalan team is the clear leader in La Liga, while also standing 6th in the League Phase standings of the UEFA Champions League. But in addition to getting these results, the team’s performances in the last few matches have also been top-notch.

This is clear from the statistics analyzed by Mundo Deportivo, which show that with the 5-2 victory over Red Star Belgrade in their last match, the Blaugranes have now scored three or more goals in all of their last seven games. This streak started at the end of October, following the defeat to Osasuna.

For the last 31 days, Barcelona has thrashed all the sides it has faced, including Young Boys (5-0), Alaves (3-0), Sevilla (5-1), Bayern Munich (4-1), Real Madrid (4-0), Espanyol, (3-1), and finally Red Star Belgrade (5-2).

The last time Barcelona achieved such a feat was back in May 2017, in the last games of the 2016-17 season under Luis Enrique, when the Catalans beat Osasuna (7-1), Espanyol (0-3), Villarreal (4-1), Las Palmas (1-4), Eibar (4-2), Alavés (3-1).

If we discount the Messi years, we will have to go back to March 1960 to find the last time such a feat was achieved by the Blaugranes.

The victory last night also saw Barcelona score five goals away from home in the UCL for the first time in 13 years, after the Pep Guardiola side had scored five against BATE Borisov in September 2011.

With these five goals, the Catalans are also the top-scoring team in the UCL this season, with their 15 goals surpassing the 13 scored by Borussia Dortmund.
