So far under the leadership of Hansi Flick, FC Barcelona has truly looked like a very united team. The Catalan club, a side that is dominating almost every opponent this season, is heavily reliant on their connectivity and ability to count on their teammates. This level of chemistry and synchronization was greatly missed at Barcelona, and it is now becoming clear why.

Much of the credit for that has to ultimately go to the Barcelona coach himself, who has instilled this sense of family into his team. With almost every player, especially with the youngsters, it is clear to see the kind of endearing relationship that the coach has with them through the gestures and reactions he gives.

One player in particular who already seems to have become quite acquainted with Flick is 20-year-old Gavi. The young Barcelona midfielder, who just recently returned from injury and is slowly regaining his rhythm, had a rather wholesome interaction with his coach during a training session and it could be seen in the second episode of the Barça One documentary that follows Gavi’s recovery.

As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the incident in question showed Hansi Flick addressing one of Gavi’s rather well-known bad habits during a training session. With the player having his laces untied during that particular session, a habit of his that Barcelona fans are all too familiar with, the German coach saw it and informed the player about it.

The coach even initially attempted to kneel down and tie the player’s laces but Gavi quickly initiated the action himself and took over promptly. In turn, Hansi Flick gave the young Golden Boy a pat on the back as they resumed the session.

In another sequence, Gavi also recalled his first ever interaction with Hansi Flick and even referred to the slight language barrier that exists between the two of them:

“We understand each other because he speaks easy English. I speak a little, and honestly, when he talks, I get it. I reply in Spanish, but he understands too. He asked me how I was doing with the injury and told me to take my time, that the team would be waiting for me.”

Fortunately for both Barcelona and Gavi, the player’s return is now a reality. After featuring for a few minutes against the likes of Sevilla, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, the Spaniard is gradually finding momentum and continuity again. Moreover, his own objective following his return aligns with this plan that is working towards helping him return to his best version.
