A big loss for FC Barcelona ahead of this official upcoming season is the number of injured players that they have. Without some of their biggest stars available, La Blaugrana do not look nearly as dangerous as they should. Moreover, the recent loss to Monaco only further proves that point about Barcelona.
Fortunately, the Catalan giants will be hoping to recover most of their key players in the first half of the season. Some players will obviously return sooner than others, but what matters most is that the players that return do so without any lingering physical problems to hold them back.
That is why Barcelona is showing great patience in regards to their recovering players. Instead of rushing them back to the field, the Catalan club and the team’s coaches are willing to let the players take their time and make a proper recovery. Fortunately, the recovery for Pedri is going as positively as it can.
According to SPORT, the former Golden Boy winner recently partially trained with the group as well. While most of his recovery is done individually and in the gym, the Spaniard is gradually making great progress towards returning the field and representing Barcelona once more.
This partial group training is a big step for the 21-year-old Barcelona midfielder. With his return, La Blaugrana would feel much more confident and secure in terms of their overall quality. At the moment, many make-shift options are being used by Hansi Flick but certainly very few players in the world share Pedri’s technical mastery.
Moreover, given that the type of injury that the young midfielder sustained was not a muscular one but a traumatic one, it is positive news that he did not suffer any sort of relapses. The Barcelona star has been quite unfortunate with these injuries in the past and it would be beneficial for him to finally get a chain of matches in without unnecessary worries.
